Begin with the garment

Choose the garment use and sourcing stage. New development, reference matching and a repeat order need different questions. State the decision you want next, such as identifying a candidate sample or checking a quotation. Both direction and end use can be not decided; a usable enquiry does not require an invented specification.

Describe the fabric target

Add composition, construction, weight, width, finish and appearance where known. Include units and label preferred values as targets. Identify references separately from measured or supplier-confirmed facts. For a physical swatch, give its ID and the properties it should illustrate. Do not assume a photograph demonstrates fibre composition or actual hand feel.

You may select a PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF reference image for a local preview. It is not uploaded or included in session saving. Refreshing or leaving the page discards the preview; attach the image yourself if you later share an enquiry.

Keep unknowns useful

Leave unresolved quantities, prices or technical values undecided. Unknown is different from zero. The output keeps open questions visible, including usable width, composition evidence or construction. Ask the supplier to resolve the matters that affect your next buying decision. A missing-field prompt identifies a question; it does not grade the quality of your project.

Check programme and quantity

Fred's public direction is wool and wool-blend woven apparel fabric. Other directions begin as feasibility enquiries. Fred publicly states 500 metres per style, subject to programme confirmation. Record total quantity and colour allocations separately. The tool does not infer an accepted split or reject a smaller enquiry as though a universal production rule applied.

Review the sources

The brief distinguishes buyer requirements, buyer references, supplier statements, open questions and buyer decisions. Add the source or revision when a supplier confirms a value. The tool does not verify that statement. Read the whole preview and correct any wording that implies more certainty than the information supports.

Choose the output

Copy, download or print your reviewed brief. Open email or WhatsApp with a general opening, then paste the project text you choose to send. These actions prepare information; they do not submit it or place an order. Remove private details that are unnecessary for the discussion, and check recipients and attachments in the destination application.

The output also includes an English structured summary using stable field names and options. Your free-text entries keep their original wording; this is an organised handover, not an automatic translation of confidential project text.

Control the draft

Drafts remain in page memory by default. If you choose session saving, this tab can retain a draft for 30 minutes. Clear removes the draft. Keep an exported copy for an ongoing project and update its revision when specifications or quantities change. The example below shows how an unanswered field remains a useful question.
