Buying guidance and project facts

The guides explain ways to prepare and review apparel fabric buying information. Examples and general collection descriptions are starting points. Exact composition, availability, performance, quantities, certification and commercial conditions need to relate to your specific programme and supporting documents. Review those facts with the appropriate project parties before making a purchasing decision.

Inputs and tool outputs

The tools organise information you enter. They do not verify a supplier, certify a document or inspect fabric. A recorded sample approval is your decision for its stated scope. An unanswered field is not an agreed specification. Review and edit outputs to ensure they describe what you actually know and the questions you need answered.

Price calculations

A fabric-line calculation uses an entered price and matching quantity. It is not an order total or landed-cost estimate. Numerical comparison requires matching currency, units, material revision, quantity basis and commercial scope. Review assumptions when you choose a supported conversion. Taxes, freight and missing charges cannot be inferred from an empty field.

Formal commercial documents

A brief, copied message or comparison worksheet is not a purchase order or acceptance of a contract. Commercial agreements should name the actual contracting parties and identify the quotation, specifications, samples, quantities and terms they agree. Use the formal project documents to resolve the conditions and requirements for a fabric transaction.

Templates and reference rights

You may adapt the sourcing templates for your own procurement work. Review completed text before sharing it. This permission does not extend to third-party photographs, designs, trademarks, certificates or documents. Share reference material only when you have the right to do so, and remove confidential information that is unnecessary for the discussion.

Fred Textile, email applications and WhatsApp are separately managed services. Their information and conditions can change. Keep the particular specification or quotation used for a decision. Send a page-specific correction request when you identify outdated or unclear sourcing information, noting the wording and the project question it affects.
